Since returning to New Zealand in 2018 and now happily settled in Selwyn, I’ve shaped my work around supporting people, and helping them feel seen, understood, and capable.
My background includes coaching people into work, where I learned the importance of listening closely, understanding each person’s story, and helping them find a path that feels achievable and hopeful.
Dyslexia has touched my family, and the experience has given me a deep appreciation for how challenging learning can sometimes be. It’s one of the reasons I pursued specific training in teaching struggling readers. Alongside a membership with the Australian Dyslexia Association, as an accredited specialist in structured literacy, I hold a diploma in counselling and a degree in psychology, which gives me a strong foundation in understanding people, their needs, and the many ways they can thrive. My aim is always to create a supportive and encouraging environment where progress feels possible and success feels within reach.
